Scaffold Tube – 6.0m (19’8”) x 48.3mm O/D x 4mm wall. Heavy duty 6m steel scaffolding tube, 48.3mm outside diameter with 4mm wall thickness. Our scaffold poles are manufactured to EN39 European Standard.
Tubes are usually made either of steel or aluminium; although there is composite scaffolding which uses filament-wound tubes of glass fibre in a nylon or polyester matrix, because of the high cost of composite tube, it is usually only used when there is a risk from overhead electric cables that cannot be isolated.
Scaffold, in building construction, temporary platform used to elevate and support workers and materials during the construction, repair, or cleaning of a structure or machine; it consists of one or more planks of convenient size and length, with various methods of support, depending on the form and use.
